Linux system operating level

The Linux system has 7 different operating levels, from 0 to6, each with different functions.

◇0: Shutdown, shut down the system.

◇1: Single user mode, similar to Safe mode under Windows.

◇2: Multi-user mode, but no NFS is turned on.

◇3: Full multi-user mode,Linux runs in command-line mode (i.e. no graphical user environment is started).

◇4: This level is generally not used.

◇5: X11,Linux running in graphical mode.

◇6: Restart the computer.

The Linux system will run at one of these levels when it starts, the general standard runs at 3 or 5, and if it is 3, thesystem runs in command-line mode, and if it is 5, The graphical environment is run.
