Installation

Download, extract and compile Redis with:

$ wget http://download.redis.io/releases/redis-2.8.17.tar.gz$ tar xzf redis-2.8.17.tar.gz$ cd redis-2.8.17$ make

The binaries that is now compiled is available in the src directory. Run Redis with:

$ src/redis-server

You can interact with Redis using the built-in client:

$ src/redis-cliredis> set foo barOKredis> get foo"bar"
If make error
Call make Test
Redis need TCL 8.5 or newer
wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/tcl/tcl8.6.1-src.tar.gzsudotar XZVF Tcl8. 6.1-SRC. tar. GZ  -c/usr/local/cd  /usr/local/tcl8.  6.1/unix/sudo ./Configuresudomakesudomake  Install
