Editing the test paper seal area as shown in Figure 1 is a problem for every teacher who edits a test paper. If this problem is solved with word 2007来, it is very simple and convenient.
Fig. 1 Test Paper Seal area
First, edit the seal area text
After the test paper is edited, we create a new Word 2007 file that has the same page size as the paper document. Click the small triangle under the text box button of the Ribbon Insert tab, and then click the Illuminated Sidebar button in the pop-up list of text boxes, as shown in Figure 2. The text box appears on the left side of the current document. We can replace the words in the "School ___ class ___ The name ___ ___ Exam Number" and "sealed line please do not answer" and other text. In order to facilitate the editing work, should be "sealed line please do not answer" another line input. When you are finished, select the text box and press the "ctrl+e" shortcut to align the text in the center of the text box.

To achieve better results, we can individually select the "sealed line please do not answer", then click on the Ribbon "Start" tab "Font" feature group in the lower right corner of the dialog Box Launcher button, in the Pop-up Font dialog box to set the text font and size, and click the "Character spacing" tab, in the "spacing" Select "Widen" in the Drop-down list and adjust the value to the right of "15 points" (this number is larger and adjusts to the page size of the quiz paper), as shown in Figure 3. Confirm the text of the sealed area after the edit is complete.

Now select the text box to adjust its size to fit, and click the right button, the pop-up shortcut menu, select the Format AutoShape command. In the Format AutoShape dialog box that opens, click the Colors and Lines tab, and set the fill color and line color to no color, as shown in Figure 4.

Now click on the Ribbon "Insert" tab, "Illustration" feature Group "Shape" button, click "Line" in the pop-up list, and drag a line through the window. Select the line, right-click, select Format AutoShape in the pop-up menu, and set the line weight to 2 points on the Colors and Lines tab of the Open dialog box.
Press the "Shift" key, with the mouse to select lines and text boxes, right-click, in the pop-up menu, click the "combination → combination" command, combine them into one object.
Third, add the seal area for the examination paper
Select the grouped objects and press the CTRL + C shortcut key to copy. Open the document where the quiz paper is located, click the Header button in the Header and Footer feature Group on the Ribbon Insert tab, and select Blank in the pop-up list to enter the header edit status. First delete the "type text" message, and then press the "Ctrl + V" shortcut key, the good sealing area pasted over, and moved to the appropriate location.
At this time, the test paper document sealed area has been basically completed. What's more in the way is the horizontal line above the document page. We can position the mouse in the header area, select all the text here, then click the small triangle to the right of the border button in the paragraph feature group on the Ribbon Start tab and select the No Border command in the pop-up menu, as shown in Figure 6, so you can remove the horizontal line from the header. Double-click the paper editing area to exit the header edit status and preview it to see how it works.

Compared with previous versions, Word 2007 does not need to adjust the text direction in the box when making the seal line, but also reduces the difficulty of making the seal area to a great extent, which will be a lot of users including the author.
