When you open MathType 6.0, you will sometimes be prompted MathType to install a newer version of the Mt Extra (TrueType) font, because your system does not have a Mt Extra (TrueType) font, or the version of this font is too low, and some symbols are missing. Workaround: Open c:/windows/fonts, if there is a Mt Extra (TrueType) font or its shortcut, then delete it, and then put the MathType installation directory/mathtype 6.0/fonts/truetype/ The Mtextra.ttf font file inside the directory is copied and pasted into the C:/windows/fonts folder (there will be a font prompt when pasting) to finish the font.
