ADSL Broadband Access networks are still quite common. So I studied how to increase the speed of ADSL Broadband Access networks. I would like to share with you here, hoping to help you. Most of our internet users use the ADSL Broadband Access Network, except for office buildings, new residential buildings, or university campuses that use leased lines to access the Internet. The theoretical downlink and uplink bandwidths of the ADSL Broadband Access Network are 8 Mbps and 1 Mbps respectively, but the operator will limit the bandwidth according to the fee we pay.
Nowadays, more and more resources are available on the Internet. Downloading, listening to songs, watching movies, and video chats consume a lot of bandwidth. In order to make good use of valuable bandwidth and speed up the Internet as much as possible, we must pay attention to the maintenance and optimization of equipment, solve hardware and software problems, and fully tap into the potential of the network.
It is often said that the Internet access is slow and unstable, which usually means that your network hardware is faulty. You can first shut down the cat for a while and then restart it. At the same time, check whether the indoor wiring port is loose and aging, you can also replace the cat, network cable, telephone line, ADSL separator, and so on. If there are no problems with your home devices, the problem is on the carrier line. You 'd better contact them for repair in time.
The probability of ADSL Broadband Access Network line failure is relatively high, we 'd better pay attention to the following points when installing the line: during installation, try to shorten the connection between the telephone outlet and the ADSL Broadband Access Network cat. Ask engineers to use twisted wires instead of telephone lines after entering the home. Do not place electrical appliances near the ADSL cat to avoid interference and tighten the connections. In addition, we recommend that you immediately enable the engineer to speed up the system after the installation is complete, and solve the problem on the spot. After finishing the hardware, let's talk about the software. Nowadays, there are a lot of network acceleration software circulating on the Internet. All the effective software is written based on the fundamental protocol TCP/IP protocol of network communication.
The connotation of TCP/IP protocol is very complicated. We need to know the general steps of connecting the client on our computer and the server on the site to be browsed. First, client A initiates A connection request to server B to issue A SYN packet with the flag x. Server B returns a packet with the Y and ACK signs X + 1 after receiving the packet. When A receives the returned packet and sends an ACK packet with the flag Y + 1, B checks the packet and starts to send data to. This is the famous "Three-way handshake" Three-way ).
After the connection is established, B to A constitutes the download, and A to B constitutes the upload. B Does not always insist on file transfer. A must send an ACK message after receiving each package so that B can confirm that B has received the package before B can continue to send to. Therefore, the upload and download lines are indispensable during work. After learning about TCP/IP connections, let's do some common optimization measures by ourselves.
1. Modify MTU
MTU refers to the maximum size of data packets that can be transmitted on a line, which is determined by the devices connected to both ends. If a packet is larger than the MTU of the line, it will be split into two for transmission. Currently, the default MTU of a common PC is 1500, while that of an ADSL Broadband Access Network Device is 1492. Without modification, each time we transmit a packet, the route and switch on the way will have to process two packets. Although it will not reduce the network speed by half, it will also affect the network speed.
To modify the MTU, click "run" in the Start menu and enter "regedit" in the dialog box to enter the Registry Editor. Then expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services
\ Tcpip \ Parameters \ Interfaces item. Search for the item whose IPAddress key is the same as the IP address of the current computer, and change the MTU sub-item in the item to "1492 ".
Ii. Optimizing TCP/IP Cache
During TCP/IP transmission, the received data packet is first cached by the system by default, and then restored to Data. If a packet error occurs, the data in the buffer zone will be lost. Changing the buffer size can reduce the loss caused by each packet error. Start the Registry Editor and modify the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services
\ VxDMSTCP, under which the string value "DefaultRcvWindows" is created and set to "256000", and your PC's TCP/IP cache is adjusted.
3. Rebuilding the local DNS Cache
When we access the Internet, we need to connect to the DNS server to resolve the domain name, and in order to improve the access speed, the system will automatically save the results parsed by the DNS server to the local DNS cache. By default, the XP system keeps the website records for successful access for one day, and the website records for failed access will be kept for 15 minutes. Every time the system accesses a website, it first finds the address in the DNS Cache and then connects to the DNS server. Therefore, once the DNS becomes invalid or the WebSite becomes faulty, within 15 minutes, the system will directly return "No server is found" because the website cannot be accessed ". Click "run" in the Start Menu, enter "cmd" in the dialog box, and then enter "ipconfig/flushdns" in the console to clear the DNS cache. This can solve the problem of fast and slow speed on a specific website.
4. Enable the webpage ad Interception Function
Firefox and maxthon browsers have long been able to intercept web advertisements. Now IE7 has also added this feature. You can set whether to intercept advertisements in the installation wizard interface and tool menu of these browsers.
5. Download using multi-threaded tools or P2P and P2SP tools
Multi-thread download tools such as Netants and Flashget), P2P tools such as BT and eMule, and P2SP tools such as Thunder can fully tap the potential of ADSL Broadband Access Network lines, to ensure fast download. Slow web browsing cannot be used as a basis for determining network faults. The speed of these tools is a strong proof of network quality. When using the multi-thread download tool, you 'd better gradually increase the number of threads from one thread, otherwise it will be easily blocked by the server. When using P2P and P2SP tools, you must limit the upload traffic; otherwise, the download speed may be affected. I have introduced some network acceleration techniques that have been widely spread on the Internet and have been proved many times. Are these skills suitable for you?
