Modify the character set of an Oracle Database

When installing the database instance, the system will select the country character set: Country: database character set. If the character sets of the two Oracle servers are different, it will be very troublesome during data migration.

View the character set of the current database:

Connect SQL plus to the server:

Select userenv ('language') from dual;

 

If the installed database character set does not match, how can I modify the character set?

Sqlplus is connected to server and server first.

 

Shutdown immediate # Stop the database first.

 

 

Startup restrict # restart in restrict Mode

 

 

Alter database character set zhs16gbk # modify Database Character Set
