MySQL cannot connect to localhost in CentOS solution

Source: Internet
Author: User

This problem may be caused by the fact that I did not install the default path

Workaround:

Because the MySQL default mysql.sock is in/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock, but the Linux system always goes to/tmp/mysql.sock to find, so will error

[Email protected] ~]# Find/-name Mysql.sock
/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

1. Directly specify the MySQL channel

[[email protected] ~]# MySQL--socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
Welcome to the MySQL Monitor. Commands End With; Or/g.
Your MySQL Connection ID is 2 to server version:5.0.22

Type ' help; ' or '/h ' for help. Type '/C ' to clear the buffer.

Mysql>

2. Create a symbolic connection:

Add a soft connection (equivalent to a shortcut in Windows) for Mysql.sock.

Ln-s/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock/tmp/mysql.sock

Thanks for the blogger's solution.
