MySQL Data type Conversion

The benefits of the network are becoming more and more undeniable. But sometimes it brings a certain amount of trouble.

I found a very common problem. One problem is turning around and over and over. Below I describe the conversion operation for MySQL data type.

Mysql provides two built-in functions that let us use the cast () and CONVERT () functions, respectively: Cast and Convert,mysql, to convert or obtain a type that we need. The specific syntax for both is as follows:

(1) Cast (value as type);

(2) convert (Value,type);

Grammar

Description value is the type of the object to convert the original data type to. But the types that can be converted are limited. The type can be any one of the following:

• Binary, with binary prefix effect: binary
• Character type, with parameters: CHAR ()
• Date: Date
• Time:
• DateTime Date/Time type
• Floating point number: DECIMAL
• Integer: Signed
• unsigned integer: UNSIGNED
