MySQL Learning-Installation and startup

• Install MySQL
  RPM-IVH mysql-server....rpm
  After installation, you will be prompted/usr/bin/mysqladmin-u root password ' new-password '
  You can also use Msyqladmin--version to see if the installation was successful
  

  /var/lib/mysql      //MySQL database file storage path /usr/share/mysql   // profile directory /usr/bin        // related commands directory /etc/init.d/mysql   // start and stop related scripts

• Booting from MySQL
  Chkconfig MySQL on
  Chkconfig--list | grep MySQL
  or NTSYSV

• Modify Character Set
  

   //  view character set  show variables Like ' character% ' ;show variables like  '%char% ';

• Configuration file

• Storage Engine
