Mysql forgot password Solution 1: view the password directly
Directory: cat/root/. mysql_secret

2. modify the my. cnf file as follows to skip password verification.

[Mysqld]

Datadir =/var/lib/mysql

Socket =/var/lib/mysql. sock

Skip-grant-tables the code added here

User = root

[Mysqld_safe]

Log-error =/var/log/mysqld. log

Pid-file =/var/run/mysqld. pid

Save and restart mysql.

Run mysql to directly access the database.
Mysql> USE mysql;
Mysql> UPDATE user SET Password = password ('new-password') WHERE User = 'root ';
The password after "=" is the method name, which is the built-in password encryption rule of mysql and cannot be changed.
Mysql> flush privileges;
Mysql> quit;

Modify my. cnf, delete the skip-grant-tables section, and restart mysql to log on with the set password.
