Error message: ora-28001:the Password has expired solution
oracle11g The default password expiration limit is 180 days (or 6 months) when the user is created, and the user cannot log in if the user's password has not been modified for more than 180 days. Oracle is the default for database security by default in 11G, but this default feature is easily overlooked by DBAs or developers, and this problem can occur once the password has not been modified for 180 days.
The workaround can be done by using the following SQL statement
SELECT * from Dba_profiles WHERE profile= ' DEFAULT ' and resource_name= ' Password_life_time '
Query password expiration setting, limit field is the password valid number of days.
When the password is about to expire or has expired, the following statement can be used to modify the password, the user can normally connect to the database after the password modification.
ALTER user username identified by password;
If you want to remove the 180-day password lifecycle limit, you can close it by using the following SQL statement
ALTER profile DEFAULT LIMIT Password_life_time Unlimited
The previous SQL statement modifies the password expiration date by 180 days to an unrestricted value. However, for database security reasons, it is not recommended to set the Password_life_time value to unlimited
