Oracle usage in ADO

After the client of oracle8 or later is installed, oledb for Oracle of ADO cannot be used. However, the client that used 8 and 8 I has never had this problem. The solution is finally found today. Cause: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms152516.aspx.
I understand that oledb for Oracle has been using the old version of the Oracle driver. Once the system does not install the corresponding version of the Oracle driver, the DLL call fails.
Modification method:
Hkey_local_machinesoftwaremicrosoftmsdtcmtxoci

  • For Oracle 10g, the correct settings are
    • Oracleocilib = OCI. dll
    • Oraclesqllib = orasql10.dll
    • Oraclexalib = javaslient10.dll
  • For Oracle 9i, the correct settings are
    • Oracleocilib = OCI. dll
    • Oraclesqllib = orasql9.dll
    • Oraclexalib = javaslient9.dll
