- Under Windows, if a file is created under a directory, the newly created file inherits all permissions from that directory by default ( parent-child relationship )
- If you move a file from one directory to to another directory, then the permissions of the file do not inherit permissions from the directory but retain the permissions of the original directory .
- If you copy a file from one directory to another, the permissions of the file will lose the permissions of the original directory and inherit the new directory. ( new re-write )
- Files uploaded via FTP are also new and re-written as 3
Any permission that is continued cannot be lower or deleted (parent- child relationship ) than the parental permission
However, there are ways to resolve this problem, that is, the relationship between directory and file Inheritance (de-parent relationship)
- Right-click Properties
- Click the Security tab
- Click Advanced
- Click Change
- Uncheck "Include permissions that can be inherited from this object's parent"
- Click Delete
- Click OK
- Click Yes
- Click OK
- Click OK
