What is the use of "photo" applications?

You can use the "photo" application to view and share your photos and home movies. Photo Applications show photos and videos from your computer, devices, and other services (such as Flickr, SkyDrive, and Facebook).

How do I add photos and videos to my photo application?

You can add files to the photo gallery, connect to the devices used to store photos and videos, and use the Microsoft account to view photos and videos from other services and sites.

To add a photo to a picture library

Photos included in your computer's photo gallery will also be displayed in the "Photo" application.

1. Open the Explorer in the following ways: Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle, click "Search" (if you use the mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down, click Search), enter Explorer in the search box, and then click or click Apply and explorer .

2. Click or double-click "Picture" to open the picture library.

3. In the photo gallery, click or click the File menu, and then click or click Open New window.

4. In the New File Explorer window, browse to the folder that contains the photos, select the photos you want to add to the picture library, and then drag them to the picture library.

You can use SkyDrive to view photos and videos from remote devices (for example, viewing photos and videos on your home computer at work).

1. Install SkyDrive desktop applications on this device.

2. Log in using your Microsoft account, and then configure the device as appropriate. Then select the Allow me to access files on this computer from another device check box.

3. The device's magnetic paste will appear in the "Photo" application. Click or click the tile to view its contents.
