This tutorial introduces the method of making lifelike golden eggs. The author skillfully uses the layer style to add a rough textured surface to the egg, and then slowly refine the light sensing part with a deep and subtle tool.
Final effect
1. Open Photoshop CS4, execute the "file-new" command, create a new 400x400 pixel file, and name it "golden egg", as shown in the following figure.
2. Set the foreground color to #825502, select Pen tool in the toolbox, select Shape Layer mode in the options bar (not path mode OH), and draw the shape shown in the following illustration.
3. On the thumbnail of the "shape 1" layer, click the right mouse button and select "Grid Layer" in the pop-up shortcut menu to convert the shape layer that you just drew into a normal layer and name the layer "egg".
4, the following to the layer "egg" add some layer style. Double-click the layer "egg" thumbnail, bring up the Layer Style dialog box, select "Glow", the specific parameters set out in the figure below.

The color labels in the gradient editor are #e2c7ac from left to right, #f1df7d, #e4b422, #eedd8f, #e7b031.
