Photoshop Practical Tips

Many times, we can change the status quo by just pressing a few keys. Below I will introduce some useful tips or tips from Photoshop to your readers, and they don't make you a master, but they can greatly improve your productivity.

1.ctrl+h Key

When we want to modify the text color, we need to use the type tool to drag the selected text, so that the text is in a white state. In this state, all colors are reversed, which has some interference with our choice. As long as we press the CTRL+H key, we can cancel the text to white, so that it shows the original color. When the text is still selected, we can change their color and the properties of the font and size.

2.Ctrl Key

If we build a lot of layers for a file, it's a hassle to switch between layers repeatedly. Do you have the impulse to select a layer by clicking it directly in the image window with the Move tool? Photoshop provides a workaround for the impatient us, the mobile tool's property bar has an auto select layer option, that is, automatically select the layer, check it, you can meet our needs. As long as we can see a layer, we can select it directly. But it would be too much trouble to choose it for a while and then cancel it. There is a more flexible approach, holding down the CTRL key to temporarily switch to automatically select the layer state. However, if the option is already selected, holding down the CTRL key will temporarily switch to the state when it is not selected. One thing to note is that automatically selecting layer functionality does not work for layers with opacity below 50%, because the move tool "cannot see" it.

Using the Trim tool to crop the image is convenient, but when you resize the trim box, if the border is close to the edge of the image, it is automatically sucked over by the edge. This is a convenience provided by Photoshop, but sometimes it also brings us inconvenience. At this point, hold down the CTRL key and the border will become usefulness, and we can cut it precisely.

Then turn the view to the layers panel and press the new Layer button at the bottom of the panel to create a new layer on top of the current layer. But sometimes we need to create a new layer below the current layer, just hold down the CTRL key as you press the new Layer button.

3.Shift Key

Or on the layers panel, press the Shift+alt key and then press the layer blending mode of the first letter of the English key, will quickly switch layer blending mode, such as the M-key corresponding to the multiply mode, C-key corresponding to the color mode, and so on. Pressing the shift+ plus or minus key will cycle through the various layer blending modes. These shortcuts apply to tools with the mode option, such as the Brush tool and Pencil tool, and they take precedence over the mode option of the layers panel, and if the current tool is one of them, pressing these shortcuts will change the tool's mode option.

4. Number key

Do you think it's tedious to adjust the opacity properties by typing or dragging the slider? Do you know the close relationship between the numeric keys on the keyboard and the opacity properties? On the layers panel, pressing the number key will quickly change the opacity of the current layer, pressing the 1,opacity to 10%, pressing 2, becoming 20%, and so on, and 0 corresponds to 100%. Pressing two numeric keys quickly and continuously will make more precise settings, such as pressing 5 and 6,opacity quickly to 56%. Of course, if the two-digit time interval is too large, the opacity will become 50% first and then 60%. The same is true for tools with opacity properties such as the brush and pencil tools, and they take precedence over the opacity properties of the layers panel, and if the current tool is one of them, pressing the number key changes the tool's opacity properties.

5.[and] Keys

The [and] keys are good companions for tools that involve stroke weights, such as brush tools, pencil tools, eraser tools, History brush tools, clone stamp tools, and repair tools, and they can eliminate the hassle of repeatedly opening the Stroke selection dialog box. Press them to quickly change the stroke thickness, [the key makes the stroke thinner,] the key makes the stroke thicker. If you hold down the SHIFT key at the same time, will be in the same stroke thickness unchanged, change the softness of the stroke, that is, stroke edge of the softening degree, shift+[key is to increase the degree of softness, strokes will become softer, shift+] key is to reduce the degree of softness, strokes will become harder.
