The development of technology and the prosperity of Science and Technology drive the flourishing of the network industry. In various wireless network technologies, how do we implement secure wireless networks? Here we will introduce it. As the prices of wireless network devices keep falling, the use and access of wireless networks are gradually accepted and favored by more people; however, it is not easy to use a wireless network for efficient Internet access, because in the days when you have been in touch with the wireless network for a long time, we sometimes encounter some inexplicable failures of wireless network cards. In the face of these failures, many friends who are not familiar with wireless networks are often helpless, I don't know what measures should be taken to respond. In fact, many times wireless NICs do not work properly, which is a cause. We only need to carefully check the installation and setup operations, and we will be able to find a solution to the fault. This is not the case. I have encountered a non-Internet connection failure caused by improper Standard settings of the wireless network card. Now, this article will restore the detailed troubleshooting process of this fault, I hope you will have some inspiration!
Wireless network cannot be used due to wireless network configuration
The office of the Organization has a laptop that has been in service for several years. The computer has a built-in wireless Nic device. In the past, the organization's leaders used the wireless Nic device to use and access the wireless network, however, I don't know why recently. the wireless network card device is always unable to connect to the wireless LAN of the Organization. As a result, the organization leader had to call "invite" the author to quickly arrive at the scene of the fault, it helps resolve failures that cannot be used in wireless networks.
After receiving the command from the leaders, I did not dare to neglect it. I immediately rushed to the fault site in three steps and made a step-by-step investigation on the fault site, the typical old-fashioned IBM T30 laptop was found to have a built-in wireless network card device with a transmission speed of up to 11 M. to check whether the wireless network card device is working properly, click Start, set, and network connection commands. In the displayed local network connection List window, find the target wireless network connection icon, right-click the connection icon and execute the "properties" command from the shortcut menu to open the Property setting interface for the target wireless network connection. From this interface, I can see that the wireless Internet access signal is not very strong. At first, I thought that wireless Internet access was affected by external interference, the laptop is specially transferred to a location with a very strong online signal (that is, the location where the phone number is full during the test). The result shows that the laptop still cannot access the wireless network, it seems that this laptop does not have access to the wireless network.
Wireless Network Configuration check wireless route settings
Since the laptop has been able to detect wireless Internet access signals, why cannot it obtain IP addresses from wireless routers in the lan? Will it be because the wireless router has configured access encryption? With this in mind, I immediately logged on to the background management interface of the wireless router as a system administrator, and found the setting options for wireless encryption. The setting of the wireless encryption function was canceled, but the result still failed. Is it because the built-in DHCP service function of the wireless router has encountered an accident, or is it simply not enabled properly? In order to test my guess, I found the DHCP service function option in the background management interface of the wireless router. When I carefully checked the value of this option, I found that the DHCP service is working properly. This shows that the reason why the wireless network card device of the laptop cannot access the Internet is not related to the DHCP service function of the wireless router. In the background management interface of the wireless router, I accidentally discovered that the firewall and MAC address filtering functions of the device are enabled, it seems that in order to prevent illegal users from accessing the wireless LAN, the network administrator imposes some security restrictions on the wireless router devices. Will these security settings affect the normal access of the laptops of the organization's leadership to the wireless network? To eliminate all interference from wireless Internet access, I intend to temporarily cancel these security settings. However, when I try to disable all firewall and MAC address filtering functions of the wireless router, it is found that the old IBM T30 laptop still does not have normal access to the Unit's wireless LAN. Later, I found that the device can normally support 802.11g, 802.11b and other wireless communication standards, it seems that the problem is not on the LAN Wireless Router equipment, it is likely that there is a problem with the laptop itself.
Wireless Network Configuration check local system settings
If there is a problem with the local laptop, which factors will affect the normal access of the wireless network card device? First, I think of wireless Internet access settings, because if the wireless network SSID name or some other settings are incorrect, the wireless network adapter may not be able to accurately find the wireless router in the LAN; when checking wireless Internet access settings, I first follow the previous steps to open the setting window for the target wireless network connection, click the "wireless network configuration" tab to open the option settings page, on the settings page, select the "configure my wireless network settings in Windows" project and click "view wireless network" to find the target Wireless LAN network, click the "properties" button to go to the wireless network configuration dialog box. I did not find any suspicious information here. This shows that the wireless Internet access configuration is correct.
Is it possible that Windows is improperly configured? For wireless Internet access, wireless access services and remote call services are required. If these system services are not running properly, wireless Internet access may fail, I decided to check the running status of the above system services. During this check, the author first clicks the "Start"/"run" command, and then enters the string command "services. msc, click OK, open the Service List window for the laptop system, find the suspicious target system service, and double-click the service option, open the Service property settings window shown in 3. On the "General" tab page of the settings window, the author can see that the wireless access service, remote call service, and other working statuses are normal, this means that the failure of wireless Internet access is not related to the service status of the laptop system. During this period, I also checked the firewall parameters of the Windows system and tried file repair operations on the Windows system, wireless Internet access troubleshooting is deadlocked.
