One of the coolest digital artists is Chuck Anderson, also known as this. In view of the recent psdtuts+ Reader's request, I decided to show you how to create a light function similar to this jumper poster. Finally, I'll let you see a technology like this that can be used in a variety of different ways to make stunning images ...

Step 1

Create a new file size of 600px X. Open the background layer and fill it with dark blue color (# 091417).

Step 2

Create a new layer, fill the black, and then change the blending mode to color dodge. Then filter > Render > Fiber. Use the strength variance of 16 and 4.

Then, copy the layer and move to the left, so you will have two layers, one next to each other. Select these two layers to ensure that the layers are aligned from top to layer > merge layers.

Step 3

Filters > Blur > Gaussian blur, using a 10-pixel radius. After that, use filters > Art > Plastics. Use 5 for the highlight intensity, and use 15 for details and smoothing.

Step 4

Now rotate the layer, say 45âº, and go "Edit > Transform > Distort." Refer to the image below.

Step 5

Now let's add more blur. Filters > Blur > Radial blur. The number of uses is 72. The fuzzy method will zoom and the best quality.

Step 6

Go to layer > new adjust layer > brightness/contrast. Will adjust the layers of light on the layer. You can use 80% contrast brightness and 100%.

Step 7

Select the Color Dodge Tool (O). Choose a large brush, 175px main diameter, hardness 0%. Select a range of highlights, and expose the use of 10%.

Now, just start drawing some areas to highlight them, mainly in bright areas, because the idea here is to strengthen the light.

You can choose the Burn tool (O) to burn some areas also. This means that if you want to make some area darker using this tool, it is the exact opposite of the color Dodge tool.

Step 8

Now select the Polygon Lasso tool (L) and create a picture below the selection image. Then choose to deepen the tool and brush really large, in the selection of direct paint is not necessary, so put away the edge only for the region to create a small shadow. Tip: Click and hold down the SHIFT key, and then click What you want. Then it will create a line for you.

Step 9

Repeat steps 7 and 8 several times until you think it is OK, but change the color Dodge tool when exposed you don't want too much light. Use 5%, for example.

Step 10

Now let's create a folder and put it all over the other layers and call it "lights". Change the blending mode to color dodge. Then create a new layer folder inside the lights.

With the Brush tool (B), select the white brush 30px 0% hardness. Create a picture like the one below. After that, use filter > Blur > Motion blur. Use 29 of 107% corners and distances.

Copy the layer, resize it, and put it on top of the other rays. One light is a little stronger, so choose the Burn Tool (O) and with a few clicks, you can make it a little weak.

Step 11

Now Select Color Dodge Tool (O) again. This time, let's use a small brush-10px exposure to use 30%. We will create the edges of the rays of light that affect the radiance.

To do this, just create the line on the Ray edge, repeat the click, and hold down SHIFT while the program creates a line with the brush.

Step 12

Here you can create more light, just repeat steps 8, 10, and 11. You don't need to create a new folder, but. Create a “ Light ⠀ "folder within the new layer.

Step 13

Create a new layer of everyone above. Fill black, go to filter > Noise add noise. Use the number 10%, the Gaussian distribution on the use, and select Monochrome.

Step 14

Create a "light" layer within the new layer. Select the Brush tool (B) and view the > Brushes to change the settings of some brushes. Then, draw some sparks on the image.

Step 15

Here we will have a picture in my design. Get a picture and delete all the backgrounds. All we need is a man. I use photos to find out in www.sxc.hu.

Step 16

Click image > Adjust > Hue/Saturation. My image, I use 12 colors, 68 and 5 saturation, brightness. However, these values depend on the image you are using.

Step 17

Now go to image > Adjust > Brightness/contrast. Increase the contrast to 38 and increase the brightness by a little.

Step 18

Here, we will add a bit of green and blue images. Click image > Adjust > Curve and the image below.

Step 19

Hold down the CTRL key while you click the person who created a selection in the thumbnail ’ of the layer. Then create a "lights" folder within the new layer.

Now select the Brush tool (B), with a large brush, 125px diameter and hardness, 0%. Use 50% of transparency. After that, some parts of the people who started painting highlighted them.

Step 20

Local people ’ the "light" layer below the layer and change the opacity of the layer to 80%’. After that, you can add text and make some final adjustments, like painting or hiding some parts of the image.

Conclusion

There are many different ways to create this effect. This time I want to use color dodge and burn tools because they give you a lot of paint to create the lighting effects of freedom. You can even add some gradient overlay to the different effects. What ’ is important here, I think, is the technology that all of us can create its impact.
