PS Make a silver coin

Introduction: Photoshop always brings us surprises! I never thought of a gray round pattern, being added to some miscellaneous points, a little bit of light and shade, became a lifelike silver coin! If you are interested in reading the following tutorial, we will be able to issue our own silver coins!

Create a new PSD document with RGB color mode, tentatively on the size of Pixels. It is recommended that you use the file name Silver coin.psd.

Hold down the rectangular Marquee Tool (m) tool in the Toolbox and select the elliptical Marquee Tool (m) Circular selection tool in the list of pop-up tools. Double-click it, select Style:fixed Size in the options panel, Width = Pixels, Height = Pixels. By clicking the mouse anywhere in the image document, we can get a round selection with a diameter of Pixels.

Create a new layer and fill the positive circle portion of the selection with the Edit > Fill (Fill) >% Grey (50% gray) tool.

Do not cancel the selection, build a layer, and use the Edit > Stroke (Stroke) command to stroke the new layer based on the circular selection--we set the width (the line widths) to 5 Pixels, and Location (the position) to Inside (inside).

Use CorelDraw, Illustrator and other software to draw the pattern on the coin, copy the pattern to the front sticker, and paste it into the Silver coin.psd-it will appear as a new layer, place the layer in the middle of the image and align with the gray circle.

Apply the filter (filter) stylize > Emboss (emboss) filter to the layer, we set the Angle to 135, the Height is 3 Pixels, and the Amount is 50.

Add Outer Glow effect to the layer, we set Mode to Normal and the color is black.

Activate the layer that contains the gray positive circle, using the filter (filter) > Noise (Miscellaneous points) > Add noise (add clutter) filter--we set the Amount to 5-7.

Apply the filter (filter) > Render (Render) > Lightning effects Lighting effect to the layer, we let a spotlight illuminate the image from the upper left corner, texture Channel to Blue, and the Height of 6.

Make a little projection for the layer--click Layer > Effects (Effect) > Drop Shadow (projection).

You should be able to see the metallic texture of the silver--we use the same noise and lightning effects filters to handle the layers of the rings in the image.

Merges all layers except the dark background, renaming the flattened layer to Coin.

Use the lighting effects filter on the Coin layer to set the parameters from the left figure.

The final step is to shade the coin slightly so that it looks more realistic. Here we can use image (image) > Adjust (Adjust) > hue/saturation (Hue/saturation) commands.

To modify the image size appropriately, we'll see an effect similar to the left--very real, isn't it?
