Id

The ID (x) corresponds to the memory address of the object referenced by the variable x. You can think of the ID (x) as the identity of the variable x.

Sometimes in programming you need to deal with the identity of a variable, but not through the ID function, but by the IS operator.

The operators is and is not test for object identity: Was true if and only if and is the x is y x y  same object.

You can simply think of A is B as ID (a) = = ID (b).

The = = operator can also be used for equality comparisons, except that the equality of the content is compared to the equality of the identity.
