Spotlight helps you quickly identify performance problems and, to some extent, helps you solve basic problems that are directly related to these symptoms. For complex problems, especially when the backend layer encounters bottlenecks, Spotlight can help you identify problems and use more in-depth analysis tools to solve the problems. In the Spotlight warning window, you can see the problem at a glance. Notify the Administrator when the critical resource usage reaches the critical level. Issue a color alert to the Administrator and highlight the server or application component with performance issues. After locating a problem, Spotlight can provide expert suggestions and solutions for the problem.
The following uses Spotlight On Oracle as an example to describe how to use Spotlight (similar to Spotlight on Windows and Spotlight on SQL Server)

  I,First, establish an Oracle connection

The first step is to create a connection so that spotlight can be used to connect to the database to be monitored.

II,System Main Interface

The main interface of the system reflects the overall running status of the system. If any problem occurs in the system, a corresponding warning will be reported. Different colors will be displayed at different levels, and the most serious warning will be red. Based on this warning, drill down to the corresponding subwindow to view the corresponding situation. The following sections describe the subwindows.

1. Session Panel:

(1) Response <10, system Response time

(2) Total Users: Total number of user sessions

(3) Active Users: number of user sessions being executed

  2. Host panel:

(1) CPU utilization

The following are some notes:

Most recent SQL: used to determine the SQL statement that currently occupies the largest resource

Session waits: identifies the wait events related to the session.
