Resolve Windows XP Click-Lock Feature

In Windows, the use of the mouse greatly facilitates the operation, but you are not tired bad index finger feeling it? Windows XP provides a "click lock" feature that frees your index finger.

Enable Click Lock

1, click Control Panel on the Start menu, and then double-click Mouse, the system pops up the Mouse Properties dialog box;

2, click the MouseKeys tab, and then under the Click Lock Heading, select the Enable click Lock check box.

3. If you want to change the time that you want to hold down the mouse button while setting click Lock, click the Settings button, and then in the Click Locked Settings dialog box, move the slider to change the length of time you want to hold down the mouse button before the click is locked (see figure). For example, if you find that the button locks when you try to click, you should increase the "click lock" time;

4, click "OK" button.

Use Click to lock

The "click Lock" feature allows you to select text or drag files without having to hold down the mouse continuously. When the Enable Click Lock check box is selected, the click is locked as long as you hold down the left mouse button for a short duration. When you lock the click, you move the mouse just as you would drag the left mouse button down.

At this point, you might open the Explorer window, select a few files, hold down the left mouse button for a moment, and then release the left button. Now, if you move the mouse again, must the selected file move along with the mouse pointer? Similarly, when you click on a lock, you can select text in text processing, such as word, without holding down the left mouse button.
