Install the Hypervisor 6.4
I. Hardware requirements
1. cpu amd haolong series: G1, G2, and G3
Inter series core, Penryn architecture (core upgrade), Nehalem architecture, and Westmere architecture (the second generation of Nehalem)
It must support Inter and AMD 64-bit extensions and Virtualization Technology (VT) Hardware Virtualization Technology.
2. RAM
The minimum value is 2 GB and the maximum value is 2 TB.
3. Storage
/At least 512 MB
The log partition must be at least 2 GB.
The Minimum Data Partition is 256 MB.
After the partition is switched, all spaces are allocated to the data partition.
It is recommended that the swap partition size be at least 8 MB.
Swap partition size:
Swap partition: 2 GB 4 GB memory
Swap partition: 4 GB 4gb-16 GB memory
Swap partition: 8 GB 16 gb-64 GB memory
Swap partition: 16 GB 64gb-128gb memory
If the memory is greater than 8 GB, the formula is used: (RAM * 0.5) + 4 GB.
4. Check whether VT is supported
Grep-E 'svm | vm x'/proc/cpuinfo
5. Is kvm loaded into the kernel?
Lsmod | grep kvm
6. Key hard drive mode
Two modes are available: RAID mode (with RAID card) and fakeraid mode (with built-in motherboard)
In the Hypervisor system, the fakeraid mode is not supported, and the fakeraid mode is a RAID that comes with the motherboard, And the RAID support system is limited to Windows, RedHat, and SUSE. For more information, see related documents.
Hypervisor does not support such fakeraid.
2. Support for the virtualization system is as follows:
RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 (32 bit and 64 bit)
RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 (32 bit and 64 bit)
RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 (32 bit and 64 bit)
RedHat Enterprise Linux 6 (32 bit and 64 bit)
WindowsXP Service Pack 3 and newer (32 bit only)
Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit)
Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 and newer (32 bit and 64 bit)
WindowsServer 2008 (32 bit and 64 bit)
Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit only)
Iii. Virtual Devices
1. A maximum of 160 CPUs can be virtualized.
2. Supports up to 512 GB of virtual memory
In theory, a 32-bit operating system supports a maximum of 4 GB memory. However, by using PageAddress Extension (PAE) technology, a maximum of 64 GB memory can be used in virtualization. Note: not all virtualization operating systems are supported.
3. PCI
A maximum of 31 virtual PCI devices are supported, including: PCI host bridge, ISA bridge, USB, board, graphics card, IDE, and VirtIO.
4. Storage Devices
Up to 28 virtualized storage devices are supported, including three IDE devices and 25 Virtio devices.
4. There are two installation methods
1. Install the CD, burn Hypervisor6.4 to a CD, and install the operating system through the optical drive.
2. Install with PXE
Mount the disc and run livecd-iso-to-pxeboot to add a pxe export path.
3. The installation interface is as follows:
Tab switch select Continue press ENTER
Installation Interface
Use the Tab to select Continues and press Enter.
Enter the password.
I. graphic interface account: admin also uses this password
2. The administrator interface (text interface) account is: root is also the password
Use Tab to select Install and press ENTER
5. Configure SSH remote management
Because the system has high hardware requirements,
If you are interested, you can add: 229424640. You can use a remote tool to check the system. In addition, some content may have problems. I hope you can point out or make better suggestions. Thank you !!!
