First, texture foundation--Seamless texture production

Often in major forums to see questions about seamless texture production, because no matter in the production of 3d map, or Web page, or define the Patten of Photoshop, the texture of seamless convergence has a high demand. Of course, the use of some plug-ins such as KPT 3.0 and auto FX P/g Patten can be achieved seamless texture, but in fact, using the Photoshop itself filter can also be very easy to achieve seamless texture production.
I. Seamless Foundation--offset Filters are the first big tips for seamless convergence, leveraging the power of offset movement and the ability to copy boundary pixels. Here's an example to illustrate the powerful features of offset. 1. Create a new 256x256 pixel file. (shortcut key CTRL + N) Tip: 256x256 is not a random number, because Photoshop images have digital generation, so the use of 2 of the N-time as a file size, there are many benefits, such as the use of cloud filters without additional processing directly can achieve seamless convergence. 2. Now give the pattern a basic texture, select menu Filter->texture->textu-rizer. (Texture:sandstone, Scaling:150%,relief:6, light direction:top, as shown in figure I)

3. Select the Text Input tool (shortcut key T) in the toolbar and enter the text you want in the center of the file, I use Arial Black font, size 25 points, color is dark. and set the text layer mode to color Burn (see figure II), select menu Edit->trans-form->numeric, rotate the text layer 30 degrees (see figure III).

4. Select Menu Layer->duplicate Layer, copy the text layer, repeat this operation, get 2 copies of the text layer, move each copy layer, get roughly as the result of figure four, and select layer-> Flatten image to merge all layers.

5. Select Menu Filter->other->offset, move the image horizontally and lengthwise 128pixel, and select Wrap Around, as shown in Figure five.

6. The resulting result should have achieved seamless convergence of boundaries, but it looks like space, and we repeat step 3 to fill in two of the same text in the middle of the file. The final result should be the same as figure six.

7. Here, this example is complete, in order to test the seamless effect, choose Layer->flatten Image Merge all layers, select the file (shortcut key Ctrl + A), select menu Edit-> Define Patten, Create a larger file such as 1000 X1000 pixels, select Menu Edit->fill, select Use Patten (Figure Seven) to see the results. Next time, you will be presented with advanced techniques for seamless texture production.
