Simple installation of Bugzilla in Windows

After having no idle Linux server, I had to use Windows to build a Bugzilla server. Today, I will introduce you to the simple installation and configuration of Bugzilla in windows.

One-time simple installation of Bugzilla

If you install Bugzilla in Windows, you can refer to the official documentation. However, we recommend that you use a one-time simple and complete installation package. Indeed, for small companies, there is nothing to elaborate on.

Configure alternative sendmail

If Bugzilla cannot send emails to notify users of updates, it will be very painful to find the latest bug status.

However, if Bugzilla uses SMTP by default, it cannot contain smtp tls verification. you can install the Perl Package Email: Send: SMTP to solve this problem.

However, here, I recommend using the Sendmail disguised method to solve this problem.

In Windows, there is a simple method to disguise the Sendmail mail method, which actually uses SMTP.

If your Bugzilla is installed in D: \ Bugzilla, decompress the fake Sendmail to the Directory D: \ USR \ Lib. Note that the drive must be the same.

After the configuration is complete, remember to test whether the fake sendmail configuration is correct from the command line:

In the preceding example, the system prompts that the configuration is incorrect.

In this way, you can use Gmail to send a reminder email. However, if you want to use Gmail to send emails, you must set smtpserver to smtp.gmail.com: 587 in the settings on the bugzilla Management Panel.

Remember to set urlbase. Otherwise, when a user registers, no website address prefix is found in the emails received.
