Solution to Windows 2003 system failure

1. When the system starts to display the operating system list, press f8 to display the Advanced Startup option;
A. safe mode: load only basic services and drivers.
It is used to solve the problem that the system cannot start properly after an additional hardware driver or software is installed. Select safe mode. If you can enter the operating system, uninstall additional drivers or software.
B. last known good: the previous successful configuration is started.
It is used to solve the problem that the system cannot be guided due to incorrect configuration of the system driver and service. Select last known good to restore the configuration of the last normal logon.
C. vga mode: enable the 16-color 640xxresolution of the computer in standard vga mode.
It is used to solve the problem of displaying configuration errors. For example, if the resolution refreshing rate is set too high, the screen may be blurred or black.
D. directory service restore mode: directory service recovery mode.
If the current server is a domain controller and the directory service is not working properly, select this mode. After entering this mode, you can run ntdsutil.exe to maintain the directory service.
2. recovery console: restore the console.
If you cannot start from safe mode or other advanced startup options, you can use the recovery console.
How to enter recoveronsole:
A. Start from win2003 cd or four installation floppy disks.
B. Select r repair during installation.
C. Select c as prompted to go to the recovery console.
After entering the recovery console, you can use the following common commands to repair the system:
A. fixboot: Fixed the boot sector
B. fixmbr: repair Master Boot Records
C. copy: copy files from a floppy disk to a hard disk (ntfs partition can be accessed)
3. emergency repaire: urgent repair.
It is used to repair the loss of system files, registry damage, and boot environment damage.
Method:
A. Make an emergency repaire disk (emergency repair disk) when the system is normal ):
A. Click Start-program-attachment-system tools-backup
B. On the welcome tab, select emergency repaire disk (urgent repair disk)
B. Use an emergency repair disk:
A. Start with win2003 cd or four installation floppy disks
B. Select r repair during installation
C. Follow the prompts to select r and use the emergency repair disk for repair.
D. Select the repair type.
I. fast repair: it can repair the registry, system files, boot sector, and boot environment.
Ii. manual repaire (manual repair): You can manually select the repair option, but the registry cannot be repaired.
E. After the repair is completed, the system restarts.
Note: files in the winntrepair directory must be used in the emergency repair process. Do not delete or modify files in this directory after creating an emergency repair disk.
4. Use boot disk.
It is used to solve boot sector failure. c: The Boot file in the root directory of the disk is lost, resulting in abnormal boot.
Method:
A. Format a floppy disk in any win2003 environment.
B. Copy the following files in the root directory of the win2003 c drive to this floppy disk: ntldr, ntdetect.com, boot. ini (implicit file)
C. Modify the boot. ini file. If win2003 and win2003 of the faulty machine are installed in the same partition, no modification is required.
