Transfer from other networks
A while ago, I participated in the development of a WAP website and found that many MIME types need to be added.
What is the MIME type?
The MIME type is used to set a file extension. Program When the file with the extension is accessed, the browser automatically opens the file with the specified application.
For IIS, if you want to use IIS for wapserver, you must add the MIME type. Otherwise, these unregistered Extensions cannot be recognized by the server.
Next let's talk about the MIME type of the WAP site in detail.
The biggest difference between a WAP site virtual host and a web site is the MIME type. For a WAP site, the conventional MIME type is mainly for WAP page access, which mainly includes:
WML text/vnd. WAP. WML
Wmlc application/vnd. WAP. wmlc
Wmlsc application/vnd. WAP. wmlscriptc
WMLScript text/vnd. WAP. WMLScript
WS text/vnd. WAP. WMLScript
WSC application/vnd. WAP. wmlscriptc
WMLS text/vnd. WAP. WMLScript
Wbmp image/vnd. WAP. wbmp
When the WAP site provides mobile apps or game programs for download, you usually need to add the following MIME types:
Jad textvnd. Sun. J2EE. app-Descriptor
Jar applicationjava-Archive
SIS application-Symbian-Archive
Sisx application-symbians603th-archive
......
In the future, many file types (with different suffixes) that have never been seen may be placed on the WAP site for users to download. Therefore, you must add the MIME type for each file to be downloaded.
There are so many incorrect MIME types. I hope you can correct them ~~
