Strange relationship between viewstate and itemcommand of repeater controls

Source: Internet
Author: User

When viewstate is disabled, I find that the itemcommand event of the Repeater control is not triggered, but other events of the control are not affected, indicating that the event depends on viewstate, this is strange, maybe because I am not very familiar with the control mechanism. I tested rowcommand, itemcommand of datalist, and itemcommand of listview in the same way, and their performance is normal, that is, even if viewstate is disabled, the event will be triggered normally, I don't know why Microsoft made him so personalized when doing repeater.

However, if repeater is used to display data, you do not need to add a server-side control with the sending-back mechanism to it. Therefore, itemcommand events are generally not used, AJAX can also be used if necessary.
