traceroute the principle of:

1.traceroute host to be Trace Host Send UDP The destination port is a port with a large number (for example, 33434 Port)

2. First package ttl= 1 Span style= "Font-family:simsun;" lang= "ZH-CN" xml:lang= "ZH-CN", dport=33434 ; future packet ttl 1

3. How to determine that you have reached your destination,

general destinations are not UDP 33434 this large port to open what services, then the packet reached the destination, the purpose of discovering that the local host does not open the appropriate port, will reply to the Port unreachable message. Of course this is limited to UDP.

if it is TCP Service, if the local host does not open the corresponding TCP Service, will reply Resert .

tracert the principle of:

1.tracert the principle is relatively simple, send directly Echo reauest

2. When you receive echoreply from your destination , you will be notified of your destination .

From my own study notes, if there are mistakes hope to spend, we progress together, thank you.
