The temporary file of IE moved

When you enter a URL in the Internet Explorer address bar and return to the Web, IE will first search your hard disk for the content of the page corresponding to the Web site. If you find the content of the Web page, display in the Browse window, and then connect to the site of the server read the updated content. If you can't find it, IE will go directly to the server to download the Web page content. The new Web page content is displayed in the Browsing window, and it is saved on the computer's hard disk at the same time.

The default save location is the temporary folder for IE, which stores the content of the Web page you have recently browsed. To help speed browsing or offline browsing.

From the point of view of saving system disk space, we can move the site for IE's temporary folder.

First, create a new IE temporary folder on a disk other than the system disk. For example, create a new IE temporary folder, Internet Explorer, on the data disk D.

The second step is to move the temporary folder.

Press the key combination "Alt+t", and on the Tools menu that pops up, click Internet Options.

On the General tab, browse the History column, and click the Settings button.

We can set up the temporary Internet files in this window. If disk space allows, you might want to set the "Disk space to use" value larger, or, conversely, set smaller. A large set of values can improve browsing speed.

Click Move folder, the system pops up the Browse for Folder dialog box, locate and click the new temporary folder, and then click OK.

Finally, before you use the new location to store IE temporary files, you must restart your computer.

As mentioned above, the temporary file space is set by you or the default settings, full will automatically delete some old files. However, if you are worried about the virus or do not want to expose the whereabouts of the Internet, it is also good to delete. Click the Delete button in the General tab browsing History column.
