When defining a BOM, we need to set the way the ticket is available (supply Type).

Push
Push-type hair material, must be HandmadeThrough the interface to do hair material, expensive, need to strictly control the quantity, or fluctuation of the relatively large material.
Push components can be distributed directly to discrete tasks and recurring plans as needed. Although the WIP management system defaults to the supply sub-inventory associated with the component, you can still specify the sub-inventory from which the push component is released.

Assembly Pull
Pull-type hair material, when an assembly is finished or scrappedAutomatically triggers consumption of more stable items by standard consumption.
When the assembly is finished in the product management system, the assembled pull-out component is distributed to discrete tasks and repetitive plans. These components are pulled from the supply sub-inventory that is assigned to the component's requirements.
If you must assign a pull component to a BOM or task that is not associated with a route, you must assign an assembly pull instead of an operation pull supply type.
If you have not specified an assembly or BOM reference for the task, you cannot assign this supply type to a non-standard discrete task.

Operation Pull
Pull-type hair material, when the operation moves to the to moveAutomatically triggers consumption of more stable items by standard consumption.
After the rewind process is completed, the process pull component is released to the discrete task and repeatability plan. These components are pulled from the supply sub-inventory that is assigned to the component.
You cannot assign this supply type to assemblies that do not have a route, or to non-standard discrete tasks without a route.
If no operations or operations have been disabled for the Assembly route, you can assign this supply type to these assemblies. However, the system automatically changes the supply type of all components from Operation pull to assembly pull.

Also attached an article of the foreigner, introduced supply Type, more complete
Supply Types in Oracle wipsupply Types decides the method of supplying component materials to discrete jobs and repetitive Schedules in WIP module. It also controls how materials is planned in MS/MRP module and how materials is costed in cost Management module.

You can assign supply types to the items if you are define in Inventory module. You can also assign supply types to the components when you create bills of material in bills of material and Engineering Modu Les. The following is a list of the WIP supply types and the the same-they work:

a) Push
Push components can is manually issued directly to discrete jobs and repetitive schedule as per requirements. You can specify the subinventory for items on Item definition form or in Bills or define default subinventory in WIP param Eters form. Work on Process defaults the supply subinventory associated with the component.

b) Operation Pull:
Operation pull components that is assigned to backflush operations, is automatically backflushed (pulled) from inventory and issued to discrete jobs and repetitive schedules when assemblies is moved and completed at this operation i.e. when You complete backflush operations. Also, operation pull component that has not been backflushed because they is assigned to Non-backflush operations prior To the backflush operation is also backflushed.
The components is pulled from the supply subinventory assigned to the component. You cannot assign this supply type to an assenbly without a routing or a non-standard discrete job without a routing. You can assign this supply type to assemblies there are routings with no operations or when the routing had disabled Opera tions. However, all components with a supply type of operation pull is automatically changed to assembly pull.

c) Assembly Pull:
Assembly Pull Components is issued (backflushed) to discrete jobs and repetitive schedules when you complete all operatio NS on Assemblies inch in Process. They is pulled from the supply subinventory assigned to the component requirement.
If you want to assign pulling components to a bill of material or job that's not associated with a routing, you must assign An Assembly pulling supply type, rather than operation pull supply type. You cannot assign the supply type to a non-standard discrete job if you had not specified an assembly or Bill of Materia L Reference for the non standard discrete job.

d) Based on Bill:
When you define a discrete job or a repetitive line/assembly association in WIP, the supply type for the assembly defaults To Based on bill and assembly components is supplied Based upon their Bill of material supply types. You can change the defaulted Based on Bill supply type that's assigned to jobs and schedules as you define them. The Based on Bill supply type is WIP specific.

If the supply type for a job or line/assembly association is changed, the new supply type are applied to all component mate rial requirements. For example, if your change the supply type of a job assembly from Based on Bill to assembly pull, the supply types of all Assembly components is changed to assembly pull. You can update the supply types of individual material requirements using the material requirements windows in WIP
The system automatically changes components and a supply type of operation Pull-to-Assembly pull while the Based on Bill Supply type is applied to a job or repetitive job/schedule that have a bill of material but have no a routing or operations .

e) Bulk:
Bulk component requirements can be viewed and is displayed on reports and inquiry forms (so display components Requirem Ents) When you include Bulk-a bill of material. They can used to communicate to the shop floor, the bulk components must is used but need is transacted. You can choose specific, the Type field of WIP material transaction form for issuing bulk components.

Bulk components is not backflushed nor does they default when issuing all components for a assembly. You can, however, manually issue specific bulk-a discrete job or repetitive schedule. This supply type was selected for the components like SCREWS,NUTS,BOLTS,NAILS,ETC where it was difficult and may isn't Necessar Y to transact the exact quantity used.

f) Supplier/vendor:
Supplier component requirements can is included on bills of material. Requirements for supplier components is created when you define discrete jobs and repetitive schedules on work in Process . Supplier component requirements can be viewed and is displayed on reports. They provide information on the component materials this your suppliers provide but need isn't be transacted. Supplier components is not backflushed nor does they default when issuing all components for a assembly. You can, however, manually issue specific supplier, and discrete jobs and repetitive schedules/job.

g) Phantoms:
Phantom components can is assigned to Bill of material component subassemblies and subassembly items in BOM and Engineerin G. Components of Phantom subassemblies is used as if they were tied directly to the parent assembly. Phantom supply types cannot be assigned to jobs and repetitive lines/assembly associations in work in Process. When the model or option class bills is, the another bill of material, that component supply type is phantom.
Phantoms behave normally when they is top level assemblies, such as if master scheduled or manufactured on a discrete j Ob. As subassemblies, they lose their distinct identity and become a collection of their components. Phantom components (not the Phantom itself) is included on discrete jobs and repetitive job/schedules and is listed on T He discrete Job and repetitive Schedule Pick List Reports.
