The Ubuntu 15.04 64-bit version is installed in VMware Workstation.
Install vmware-tools times a lot of errors, in order to enable the interface to automatically adapt to the client machine, shear board and other functions, or to study the installation of Vmware-tools.
The installation steps are as follows:
1. Install the relevant software (terminal execution):
- Apt-get Install dkms linux-headers-$ (uname-r) build-essential Psmisc
- Apt-get Install git
- git clone https://github.com/rasa/vmware-tools-patches.git
2. Delete folder (execute under Terminal):
- CD vmware-tools-patches/patches
- Remove other folders except Vmhgfs
3. Load Vmware-tools
- Click on VMware Workstation ==> click on "Virtual Machine" menu ==> click "Install VMware Tools"
4. Copy the installation package (note: The version number in the ZIP package name may vary):
- Copy the files loaded in the DVD-ROM vmwaretools-10.0.0-2977863.tar.gz to the Vmware-tools-patches folder.
5. Enter the catalogue vmware-tools-patches
6. Performing the installation
- ./untar-and-patch-and-compile.sh
