 The syslog messages Kern. log files under/var/log in Ubuntu 9.10 become very big,

I don't know if this solution is generic, but let's just try it out.
I just saw it at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/performansource/linux/?bug/453444.
Create a new configuration file/etc/rsyslog. d/10-temperature.conf with the following content: Code:: MSG, contains, "temperature/speed normal "~
: MSG, contains, "temperature above threshold "~

Messages that contain "temperature/speed normal" and "temperature above threshold" are not recorded.
