After installing the English version of Ubuntu12.04. Use ctrt+space cannot switch to Chinese, only then reacts.
So I queried how to install and configure the Chinese input method under Ubuntu.
The first step installs the language pack:
Click System setting in the left-hand menu bar and search for the next lanuage support, which pops up a language-supported dialog box. Select Install/remove Languages.
In the language selection to find the Chinese simplified, select click OK to install.
Step Two: Install the IBUs framework
This is an Input method framework
Open the command line interface. Run the following installation:
sudo apt-get install ibus ibus-clutter ibus-gtk ibus-gtk3 ibus-qt4
Start frame:
Im-switch-s IBUs
log out of the system after installing the IBUs framework. Make sure the changes take effect immediately. (I did not log off when I installed it myself.) )
Step three: Install the Input Method engine
sudo apt-get install Ibus-pinyin
(This engine is ibus by default and may prompt you to be installed)
Of course can install other engines, such as Google Input method
sudo apt-get install Ibus-googlepinyin
Fourth Step: Setting the IBUs frame
Choose which input method you need to use in detail, or set a priority.
Ibus-setup
Then we can use Ctrl+space to switch to Google Pinyin when entering text.
