Note: The following steps should be performed under normal user privileges, do not perform!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! under root Otherwise there will be a problem!
In the Ubuntu Chinese system comes with the Chinese input method, the first step to install Input method, is to install the language pack. We select System Settings-->language support-->install/remove Languages and the following window will pop up

After you enter your password, the system installs the Simplified Chinese language pack.
In the second step, install the IBUs framework (if any), enter the following command at the terminal:

sudo apt-get install ibus ibus-clutter ibus-gtk ibus-gtk3 ibus-qt4

Start the IBUs frame and enter it in the terminal:

Im-switch-s IBUs

Step three: Install pinyin engine, Google Pinyin Input method: sudo apt-get install Ibus-googlepinyin

Fifth step: Typically, the IBUs icon (a small keyboard) appears in the taskbar in the upper-right corner of the desktop. Sometimes this icon disappears on its own, using the following command to retrieve the vanishing IBUs icon:
