[Unity] Chapter 3.0 create and import 3D models, unity3d

Classification: Unity, C #, VS2015

Created on:

I. Introduction

Using the basic models and tools built in Unity, you can directly create various 3D models without using any other 3D modeling software. This is the first step we learned in this chapter.

After learning the basic operation skills, you can use professional 3D modeling software (such as 3ds Max, Maya, and Blender) to learn how to build complex 3D models, and then import it to the Unity project.

Key points of this chapter:

L use of the shortcut toolbar.

L use of shortcut keys (Q: Hand, W: translation, E: rotation, R: Scaling.

L use of the shortcut key (F: center.

L use of the roaming mode.

L use of small icons (pay attention to the color.

For the meanings and explanations of these key points, see section 2.5 scenario view. Note that [scenario view 2.5] is very important, so you must "Repeat, repeat, and remember your chest ".

In short, you must be familiar with the toolbar, shortcut keys, mouse operations, and the combination of the keyboard and mouse operations. This is a basic skill for getting started with 3D. If you cannot even remember these basic skills, it means that you are not suitable for 3D Game Development, so you don't have to learn any more. It is a waste of time to learn more.

Ii. Download The resource package from Unity Store

To facilitate future study, you can create a new project named DownloadFromUnityStore and download some resource packages you are interested in from the Asset Store provided by Unity:

Some of these resources are free and some are charged. At the beginning of learning, there is no need to buy paid resources. You can download some free resources as needed:

After the download, you can use these resources in various projects created in the future.

Of course, you can also download various resources from other sources, which is not described here.

Iii. resource packages to be imported in this Chapter

1. Project Name

The project name created in this chapter is ch03Demos.

2. Textures required in the Project

The following figure is required for ch03Demos:

Brick_D.jpg

Grass01.jpg

Create the Textures folder in the project. These files are contained in the free download resource package. Drag and Drop them to the Textures folder:

3. Other resources

Since the sample resource package that comes with Unity has been installed during Unity installation, you do not need to find other resources from other sources, directly import the sample resource package of Unity to the ch03Demos project:

Now, after the preparation is complete, you can start the entry-level learning.
