Officials recommend that you use a local copy to update

2. Orchard Instance Settings page make a record of the settings you are currently changing. (The information is overwritten and regrets). Then browse through the modules/features of the orchard instance and the Themes page, just in case.

3. Download the website locally, if you already have a local copy, make sure your app_data and media directory content is up-to-date

4. If you are using SQL Server Compact database (that is, the SQL CE you selected at the beginning of the setup), the database is in yourpp_data directory. If you use SQL Server, then copy the latest database to local (in fact, this does not need to do, because the database does not need to be changed, if you want to use the local database as long as the app_data\sites\default directory or app_ Data\sites\ ' Other instance name ' directory settings.txt to reset the connection file

5. Unzip the downloaded new version of the file.

6. Copy the local media directory to overwrite the new version of the directory overwrite

7. Copy the module and the themes directory to the new version of the contents of their own installed items

8. Copy the app_Data directory to the new version directory overlay
