1. The setup.exe installation file must be included in your unc, for example, \ SVR \ Software \ setup.exe.
2. Create a setup. Zap file in the directory and edit it in Notepad. The content is as follows:

3. In GPO, specify the suffix of the published file as. Zap. In the corresponding UNC directory, locate setup. Zap and publish.
4. Log on to the domain on the client. In "add and delete programs", "add new programs", you will see the release of "programs"
There are two ways to publish software using group policies:
- Assignment: It can be assigned to a computer. It is installed when the computer is started. It can be assigned to a user. it is visible in the program menu and installed at the first run.
- Distribution: it can only be distributed to users and not computers. It can be seen in "add and delete programs ".
The group policy supports the following file types:
- Zap: advantage: any form of installation files can be released. disadvantage: zap can only be distributed to users, but cannot be assigned, upgraded, redeployed, flexible, but inconvenient.
- Msi: can be assigned, distributed, upgraded, and redeployed
