Use the Terminal Service (Remote Desktop) shortcut

If you choose not to apply the Windows key combination to"Terminal Services"Session, you can use these Terminal Service shortcut keys to execute many of the same functions.

Shortcut Key Description
Alt + Page Up Switch the program from left to right.
Alt + Page Down Switch the program from right to left.
Alt + Insert Switch programs in sequence.
Alt + Home The Start Menu is displayed.
Ctrl + Alt + Break Switch the client between the window and the full screen.
Ctrl + Alt + End The "Windows Security" dialog box appears.
Alt + Delete The "Windows" menu is displayed.
Ctrl + Alt + minus sign (-) on the numeric keyboard (-) Place the Shadow Copy of the active window in the client on the clipboard of the terminal server, which has the same function as pressing PrintScrn on the local computer.
Ctrl + Alt + plus sign (+) on the numeric keyboard) Place the Shadow Copy of the entire client window area on the clipboard of the terminal server, which has the same function as pressing Alt + PrintScrn on the local computer.

Even if you choose to apply the Windows key combination on a remote computer, Ctrl + Alt + Break and Ctrl + Alt + End are also available in all "Remote Desktop Connection" sessions. Of course, you can alsoView the Windows shortcut keys in the configuration session.

  • In the Remote Desktop Connection window, click options ".

  • On the "local resources" tab, under "keyboard", click the "application Windows key combination" list, and then click the required options. When you connect to a remote computer, this option affects the combination of Windows shortcut keys, as shown in figureAlt + Tab.

    1. To configure the connection so that the Windows shortcut key is always applied to the local desktop, select "Local Computer ".
    2. To configure the connection so that all Windows shortcuts can be applied to the desktop of the remote computer, select "remote computer ".
    3. To configure the connection to apply the Windows shortcut key to the remote computer only when the connection is in full screen mode, select "only for full screen mode ".
  • Click Connect ".

Note:

  • To enable Remote Desktop Connection, click Start, point to programs, all programs, attachments, and communication, and then click Remote Desktop Connection ".
  • When you click "Connect", the information entered in "options" will become the Default settings for all remote desktop connections, and will be saved to the file named Default. rdp.
  • This process is not applicable if you are using Remote Desktop Connection on a computer running Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Millennium Edition.
  • Ctrl + Alt + Del always go to the local desktop. To send Ctrl + Alt + Del to a remote computer, use Ctrl + Alt + End.
  • To switch between full-screen and non-full-screen mode during the Terminal Service session, press Ctrl + Alt + Break.
