In the previous article, we learned how to install and deploy vcenter operations manager. Here we continue our journey to see how to install and deploy the adapter and client.

First install the adapter and copy the VMware-vcops-viewadapter-1.6.0-<buildnumber>. Pak file to a temporary folder. Access the vcenter Operations Manager Management Interface in a browser. Name the adapter and select full set in metric set to collect and view all information. Click Add on the Right of credential to add a password to the instance. This password will be used to access the server adapter from the client installed on the view connection server in the future. Click OK to close the window.

Congratulations! We have completed the generation and configuration of a vcenter Operations Manager for Horizon adapter instance! Next, install the client on the connection server of view.

In a view pod or cluster, you only need to install a client on the view connection server. Run VMware-v4vbrokeragent-x86_64-1.16.0-<buildnumber>. EXE, first browse and accept the license agreement, check launch the VMware vcenter Operations Manager view broker configuration utility, and select install. After the installation is complete, select finish to close the window. This installation process is relatively simple. Then we need to configure the client.

In the displayed Configuration window, enter the IP address of vcenter operations manager and select pair to pair the client with the adapter. Enter the server password you just set, and then click OK to perform the configuration process.

In the displayed client Configuration Wizard, select next to view the view pod information, and then select finish on the summary page to complete the configuration.
