Shortcuts in programs
In Windows, the icons displayed in the "program" menu in the "Start" menu are shortcuts of a program. You can select them to start the program. Therefore, starting a program from the "Start" menu is also the most direct method.
Shortcuts on the desktop
You can create shortcuts for files, programs, drives, folders, and utilities that are frequently accessed on the desktop. This function is particularly useful in the use of network resources. You can access network folders without complex browsing or drive ing.

Create a shortcut"
There are three ways to create a shortcut:
1. Create a "shortcut" in the folder"
In my computer or Windows Resource Manager, right-click the folder to create a shortcut. Select the "Create shortcut" command from the pop-up menu. There is also the simplest way, right-click the project to create a "shortcut", drag it to the desktop, open the mouse, select "Create a shortcut in the current position" in the pop-up menu.
2. Add "shortcut" to "program"
Right-click the "Start" button and click the "open" command in the pop-up menu. The "Start Menu" folder (1) is displayed. Click the "programs" sub-folder, click "file/New/folder" in the menu, enter the name of the new folder, open the newly created folder, and click "file/New/shortcut" in the menu ", use the create shortcut wizard (2) to add a project to the sub-menu.

3. Place shortcuts on the desktop
After creating shortcuts for a project (such as files, programs, folders, printers, or computers) in the right pane of my computer or Windows resource manager, drag the shortcut to the desktop. Is it easy?
Handling of "Shortcuts"
1. Add to the Startup Menu
* Click Start/set/taskbar and Start Menu ".
* In the pop-up "Taskbar properties" dialog box, select the "Start Menu program" tab.
* Click "add" and then click "Browse" in the pop-up "create shortcut" dialog box.
* In the displayed dialog box, locate the program to be started and click it.
* Click "Next" and double-click the "Start" folder.
* Type the name of the program to appear in the "Start" menu, and click "finish.
* If Windows prompts you to select an icon, click an icon and click "finish ".
2. Add to Quick Start
* To start some common programs more conveniently, you can place the shortcut pointing to the program in the "Quick Start" Area of the taskbar.
* Right-click the blank area of the taskbar and click "toolbar" to confirm that "Quick Start" is selected ".
* Drag the program file (with the extension. EXE) from my computer or Windows Resource Manager to the "Quick Start" Area of the taskbar. The program icon will be located next to the other "Quick Start" icon on the taskbar.
3. Change the "shortcut" icon
Select the corresponding "shortcut", right-click, select "properties" in the pop-up menu, and select "change icon" in the "properties" window, then you can select one of your favorite icons.
4. Organize "Shortcuts"
When we add shortcuts to many programs in the "Start/Program" menu, when we want to open a program, we sometimes cannot find it at a glance, this makes shortcuts less efficient. We can sort these programs and right-click anywhere in the program menu, select "sort by name" from the pop-up menu, and the program will be arranged in the order of type and name, so it will be much faster to open a program.
if you think the name of a program in the "Start/Program" menu is inappropriate, such as being too long or difficult to remember, you can change the name of the program, the operation process is similar to modifying the name of a common file. Right-click the program in the "program" menu and choose "RENAME.
