The Microsoft Windows 1.0 operating system is the first attempt by Microsoft to develop a graphical interface on PCs, which borrows many of the earliest graphical interface operating systems OS/2 GUI Concepts (developed by IBM and Microsoft). Microsoft's early development of Windows was actually just a graphics application based on the DOS system, and the file operation was done through DOS. Until Win2000 's release, Windows was completely free of DOS and became a truly stand-alone operating system.
Windows 1.0 was released in 1985.11.20 and initially sold at $100; the GUI computer platform, which was favored by the people, was a gem and Desqview/x,windows 1.0 was not favored by users and was not well appraised. Over the next two years, Windows 1.0 was released in four editions: November 1985 1.01, January 1986 1.02, August 1986 1.03, April 1987 1.04.
