The negative consequence is that the project members are less likely to look at you and reduce the prestige of the Project Manager in the team. In severe cases, the project fails and the members leave the project team.

Therefore, as a project manager, it is a kind of practice. The following things need to be practiced slowly:

1. Temper must be well controlled. Whether the team members do not finish their work on time or the customer side is always changing, in short, you have no reason to lose your temper, especially in front of the team members;

2. Don't panic. Project risks always exist, and various problems always exist. If you are calm about things, you will come up with a solution. If you are not calm enough, you may make wrong decisions randomly. The consequences of a wrong decision are often serious, resulting in rework, project failure, and other consequences. Remember, you must always do the right thing once;

3. Never ask your superiors to help you find a solution. This is an easy mistake for many people. They often give the problem to the leaders, and blame the leaders for not supporting your work and not solving your problems. Remember, leaders only make decisions, not help you think about solutions. Otherwise, what should you do? For example, if the project resources are insufficient and you need to apply for resources, do not directly tell the leaders that the resources are insufficient and you must tell them what the consequences are, then there are several solutions. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each solution? Then ask the leaders to select a solution;

4. It is useless to remember to complain. Think about it. When does it take time to complain? If complaints are useful, what else do you need? If you complain about the low salary, the boss will raise the salary. Do you think it is possible? Remember, complaints are useless. Too many complaints only prove that you are a useless project manager. If you have any problems, you just want to solve them. For example, if a team member has a background and plays a big role as an expert, will it be helpful to complain if he doesn't listen to you? Think about the root cause of the problem, and learn a new skill for communicating with others. The problem must be with you, without a doubt;

5. Trust your team members and encourage them more. Criticism is the most taboo in Team building. Unless a very serious problem occurs, you must carefully consider whether to criticize. Among the various methods of criticism, public name criticism is the most serious. Remember, everyone has self-esteem. You have to trust your team members and believe they are excellent. If they are not good, they must be your responsibility. You cannot motivate them or help them improve their performance. Trust them and encourage them to do the right work;

6. Pay attention to fairness and justice. This is a quality that a project manager must possess and is a kind of professional ethics. To treat project team members, they must evaluate their work performance fairly and reward them appropriately.

7. provide objective and truthful reports. This is also a professional ethics. The project status must be objectively and truthfully disclosed to the stakeholders. The more hidden the risk is, the higher the risk. People are always afraid of being criticized for making mistakes and conceal the bad side of the project. It is estimated that many people have done this. In fact, it is not terrible to create a project. The terrible thing is not to expose the problem and let everyone analyze and solve it together. When the project fails, it is time for your career to fail. I know that it is a bit difficult to provide objective and on-site reports, but remember, this is necessary;

8. Credit is not your own. Remember, as a team, you inspire everyone to complete the project. The final achievement is not yours, but yours. Not only that, but you cannot take credit for any one of the ideas and solutions in the project process for yourself. Even if this is what you really think of, you cannot say it is your own, that is everyone's wisdom. Even you should not tell the solution from your mouth, but should guide the team members to let them speak out and praise their wisdom;

9. Never think that you are a miscellaneous. Understanding the value of your work is a prerequisite for doing a good job. As a project manager, there will certainly be a lot of things, writing all kinds of reports, answering all kinds of calls, seeing all kinds of people, handling all kinds of things, it doesn't matter, as long as you do so many things for the same purpose, your job is valuable. Although scattered, it will definitely test your ability. Only one thing every day does not allow you to learn time management. If you do 10 things every day, you must learn time management. Only by discovering your own shortcomings at work can you make progress. If I think of myself as a miscellaneous person and my mentality is wrong, how can I think of improvement?
