Why don't we choose Linux?

A few days ago, Comrade Wang open-source, a company colleague, turned his laptop system into a liunx system. It looks good and there should be some applications. Such as document processing software, table processing software, and eclipse development environment. Not to mention, it's really good. Once again, I was tempted to install a liunx system, but I didn't dare to do this yet. Using a Linux system is a waste of energy and many things should be set by myself.

The liunx system has been widely used in the industry for N years. Many people are advocating that Linux is a good solution. But why don't we choose Linux?

I think the main reasons are as follows:

1. insufficient automation for system installation
Currently, for any version of Windows, you can press enter until the installation is complete. You can complete the installation without any intervention. In addition, the partitioning method for Windows is relatively simple, unlike Linux, which requires so many partitions. In my opinion, Linux should simplify this process and display the partition process in the most intuitive way. Of course, you can also provide related functions for users who are willing to make complex custom settings.
Linux installation instructions files are similar to tianshu for common users. How can they install them? Not to mention ordinary users. It takes a lot of time for us to install Linux, even if they are engaged in technology. Fortunately, some Linux versions have done a lot of work in this area, such as RedHat. But they are not doing enough. Why is it not enough, because a person who installs windows may not be able to install linux successfully. It is truly automated to make such a person easy to use.

2. Linux does not support enough hardware, and many hardware cannot find available drivers.
When many hardware manufacturers provide drivers, they do not provide Linux-based drivers.ProgramThe user will have a headache for a certain driver. In addition, drivers between Linux systems are not universal. In the past, when I installed liunx myself, I had to go online for a long time and finally gave up. Of course, you can set the path for ADSL later, but what if there is no route? At least I cannot find a solution. Of course, there must be a solution.

3. Reasons for habits
I have to admit that more than 80% of users in the world are users of Windows systems. The operating habits of Windows systems are deep-rooted in everyone's thoughts. Instead of letting everyone change their habits, it is better to adapt to the current habits of many users. At least some of the most common functions should be like this. At present, the usage habits of Linux should be for technical staff rather than ordinary users. I believe that many technical staff do not like Linux either. Because the cost is too high, it is a waste of time to study and adapt again in many places.

4. There are not many popular latest software
I believe that many people have the hobby of such software. There are limited software that can be used in Linux, and the latest and popular software versions cannot appear in time. For example, if you want to watch a network TV, there are very few options in Linux.

5. the Linux version is messy.
On the Internet, you can often see people asking where the Linux version is better. Which version do I use? Where is the service used? There are also many answers, including support for Redhat and turbolinux. But who can clearly understand their advantages and disadvantages, and where is it more suitable for normal office applications? It seems that some technical staff have not yet seen a fair review. What should we do for common users? No way, no way to choose, it is better not to choose.

In short, whoever solves the above problems will become popular in Linux, and will be able to truly confront windows and truly enter the computers of ordinary people. Why don't we choose Linux? At least because of these problems.
