Windows 2008 hard disk partitioning and formatting

1. Start "server manager" in the taskbar in the lower left corner and select "storage"> "Disk Management ";


 

2. Right-click the blank partition and choose new simple volume ";

 

3. Start the new simple volume wizard and select "next ";

 

4. Set the size of a simple volume, that is, the partition size. By default, all the remaining space is selected. You can also specify the partition size as needed. Select "next ";

 

5. Assign a drive letter, which is used by default. Select "next ";

 

6. Format the partition. The "execute quick formatting" option is selected by default. Select "next ";

 

7. Click "finish". The system automatically sets the new partition.
