Windows system, how to optimize the C drive space, windows
During the use of disk C, the content will increase and the remaining space will decrease. How to clear more space? Take Windows 7 as an Example
Cleanmgr
Windows built-in Disk Cleanup tool. Run cleanmgr in the running window
As shown in, the tool will prompt the space size that can be cleared, from dozens of MB to dozens of GB, all possible.
Reduce the virtual memory or move the virtual memory to another partition.
By default, windows creates a virtual memory on drive C. The file name is pagefile. sys. If the computer memory is large, the pagefile file will also be large. For example, if there is 8 GB memory, this file may also have 8 GB.
The path for modifying the virtual memory is as follows:
Computer (right-click) properties --> advanced system settings --> System Properties (advanced) --> Performance (settings) --> advanced --> virtual memory
Modify
1) set disk C to "non-paging file", or customize the file size, and click "set ".
2) You can create a virtual partition in other partitions with ample space and click "set ".
3) after modification, click "OK" and restart the computer.
