The WINDOWS8 system has three types of accounts. Each type provides different levels of computer control:
Standard account: Suitable for daily use. This type of account may have been created the first time you started using the computer.
Administrator account: can provide maximum control of the computer. To help protect your computer (to prevent other users from making changes that do not meet your needs), you should use the Administrator account with care. If you want to set up an account for other users on your computer, you need to use an administrator account.
Guest account: For people who want to use the computer temporarily. You can enable the Guest account for the computer in Control Panel.
Why log on using an e-mail address?
You can log in to Windows using your email address and password and it will become your Microsoft account. This can be a standard user account or an administrator account-it is important to log on with an e-mail address. When you log on using a Microsoft account, your computer will automatically connect to the cloud, and:
1. The contact information and status of your friends in Hotmail, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and other accounts will be kept up to date automatically.
2. You can access these locations and share your photos, documents, and other files without logging on to Microsoft SkyDrive, Facebook, Flickr, or other accounts.
3. Your personal settings (including your theme, language preferences, browser favorites, and most applications) will be synchronized to any Windows 8 and Windows RT computers that you log on to.
4. You can get applications in the Windows store and use them on up to five Windows 8 and Windows RT computers.
