Wireless Network Card disconnection in Windows XP.

Source: Internet

I bought an Acer 4710g notebook with an Intel Wireless 3945abg wireless network card built in. After deleting the camera's original Vista and installing XP, I found it difficult to connect the wireless network card to the wireless network, you must first connect the network cable to connect to the wireless network, but the wireless connection will soon be disconnected after the network cable is unplugged.

A lot worse on the InternetArticle, Which all refer to the following solutions:

1. This is a service bug of XP.

This XP (relatively new automatic recovery disk installation, old XP No problem) Background name service "Wireless Zero Configuration" wireless network adaptation bug, Microsoft has not modified, if you disable this service after the wireless connection is enabled, you will find that the wireless network will not be disconnected, which proves to be caused by this bug, but it is a bug after all, microsoft still cannot use this service.

2. Ping the wireless router.

That is, after connecting to the wireless network, open the CMD command and Ping 192.168.0.1-T (I use the dlink wireless router) to continue the Ping, saying that this will not be broken, but in actual use, we found that, or disconnected. the problem persists.

3. Try 2200bg wireless network card disconnection Solution

The 2200bg NIC will also be disconnected. Although it is different from mine, we will try to set the "power management" option on the wireless NIC Management Interface. We will remove the default option and use the maximum value instead, I still cannot try it.

4. Upgrade the driver of the D-LINK Wireless RouterProgram

On the D-LINK site, find my machine corresponding model DI-624 + A, download the latest driver, installed on the problem still exists

5. Update the driver of the wireless network card

The latest intel 3945abg driver has been downloaded. After the update, the driver is still disconnected.

I tried all the above methods. It seems I can't do it. Do I have to use XP's wireless network management program? The answer is no. I tried it with Intel, which is generally a download driver, intel Wireless Nic Client Management Software did not pay attention to, use this try.

Then download intel's wireless network card driver and management package online, which are usually packaged together. The 51 m and exe files can be downloaded and run directly, this includes the driver and nic Client Management Software. After installation, the "Intel manual wireless" menu will appear (this menu is certainly not available for driver installation ), disable XP's "Wireless Zero Configuration" service, restart the machine, open Intel's management software from the menu, and connect to the network card. Then, Intel is used, after further tests, we found that we were always on the line and felt that it was more stable and faster than XP.

Problem solved!
