Introduction: How to use the effectiveness of the Production Drop-down menu

In the process of using the WPS form, it is often necessary to input a large amount of data. If each data is entered through the keyboard, it is not only a waste of time but also a waste of energy. Using the data validation function of WPS table, the data can be entered quickly and accurately.

For example, teachers hope that according to students ' test scores divided into four grades: excellent, good, qualified, unqualified, the input process will repeat the input of these several levels, if the number of hierarchical names to a drop-down menu to choose from, it will greatly simplify the operation and save time.

The new "Data validation" feature is added to the WPS table with the following two ways to achieve this requirement:

Method one: Through the manual input data source The way makes the Drop-down menu;

Method Two: The Drop-down menu is made by referencing the data region.

Direct Input Method

Step 1: Select all the cells in the Level column, select the Data | Validation menu item, open the Data Validation dialog box, and, under the Settings tab, press the Drop-down button to the right of allow, and select the sequence option in the list, as shown in Figure 1:

Step 2: Enter the rank names of the series in the Source box (for example: excellent, good, qualified, unqualified, etc., separated by a half-width comma, select the "Ignore null value" and "Provide drop-down menu" Two check boxes, as shown in Figure 2.

Step 3:, finally click the "OK" button, return to the worksheet, click on the "Rank" column in any one of the cells, will appear on the right side of a drop-down arrow, click on it will appear drop-down menu, as shown in Figure 3.

Select one of the options, the corresponding level name is entered into the cell, it is very convenient, and input accurate error-prone. When the mouse clicks on any other cell, the drop-down arrow of the cell disappears without affecting the operating interface.

Area Citation method

Step 1: First of all in the $d$1: $D the region, respectively, the input of excellent, good, qualified, unqualified. As shown in Figure 4:

Step 2: Select all the cells in the Level column, select the Data | Validation menu item, and, under the Settings tab of the dialog box, select the Sequence option in the Allow list, click the source formula bar, use the mouse to select the sequence area D1:d4, and return to the Data Validation dialog box. As shown in Figure 5.

Step 3: Click the "OK" button to save the settings. The final Drop-down menu effect is shown in Figure 6.

Summary:

1, WPS table new "Data | effectiveness" to provide users with the production of "Drop-down menu" function, users can be "direct Input Method" and "regional reference law" to make.

2, when the "alternative" content is relatively small, usually use the "direct Input method" to create a drop-down menu. A drop-down menu made by this method is still valid when the cell is copied to another worksheet.

3, in the "alternative" content is more, or often changes in the content of the situation, usually use the area reference method to create a Drop-down menu. A drop-down menu made by this method must be reset using the "define name" method when the cell is copied to another worksheet.

In addition, if a user uses the name of a function formula definition to make a drop-down menu, the formula result must be a cell reference, otherwise it will not work correctly.
