MySQL can be installed RPM package or directly yum download installation, here is about yum download installation (storage path is set by itself)
Environment: centos6.5
Setenforce 0 (if 1, startup error)
Fdisk 3 partitions, and pvcreate

3. Vgcreate myvg/dev/sda{10,11,12)}
4. Lvcreate-l +15g-n MyData MYVG
5. vim/etc/my.cnf

6. MyData OK:
Vim/etc/fstab
Join
/dev/myvg/mydata/mydata ext3 defaults 0 0
7. MKE2FS:
Mke2fs-j/dev/myvg/mydata
8. Mount-a
9. Ln-s/mydata/mysql/mysql.sock/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
9. Service Mysqld Start
Success!!!
Yum install MySQL server
